April & May News at SWS

My apologizes for the delayed post in April it has been a busy month.

I hope everyone enjoyed their spring vacation.  I wanted to take the time to Thank our students and teaching staff for an amazing ART Show.  I truly appreciate the time, talent and hard work that it took to make our Art Show a success.

Your probably wondering what is going on at the side entrance of our school.  A church member and girl scout, Julia Codere is working on her Gold project.  Julia designed and is constructing a Tranquility Garden that can be used for church and school.  It will be a wonderful place for our children to observe nature, enjoy a story or take a hike. Parents are also welcome to go into the garden and relax after drop off.  The Tranquility Garden will be completed the Fall of 2017.

We are so appreciative to the Jones’ Family for hosting the Earth Day Hikes at Jones Family Farms. Every year they create an adventurous hike through their farm exploring trees, insects and animals.  The Earth Day Hikes are for our 3, 4 & 5 year old children.

In May our 3, 4 & 5 year old students will be hosting our Muffins with Mom event on May 3rd, 4th & 5th (please see your child’s teacher for the date and time).  This is a special day for Mom and her child.

Our year is coming quickly to a close and our PTO sponsored FUN DAY for our Graduation students will be held on May 24th.  Graduation will take place on May 31, 2017.

The PTO will provide end of the Year celebrations for all of our classes on their last day of school

Kindergarten Readiness-June 5-30 for children entering Kindergarten in the Fall M-F 9AM-1PM

Summer Day Camp for 3-8 year olds-June 5-August 4th sign up for 1 week or all 8- 2, 3 or 5 days a week 9AM-12PM

 

Toddler Camp for 2 year olds-June 5- August 4th 2 or 3 days a week 9AM-12PM
